The Summer Reading theme of "One World, Many Stories" was represented by trains, boats, and planes. Children received a token of their choice after reading ten books, a sticker for each additional ten.

"Make a Splash, READ!" Summer 2010. During the course of the summer, kids added their goldfish to the bowl as they read the required books. Bubbles with numbers of books read past ten come from the fishes' mouths. |

We're trying to encourage spring to make an appearance with this "Welcome Spring" themed bulletin board. Daffodils were made with centers from cupcake papers. Feb 2010

Look at our bookish tree. K. Knowles made the mini-book cover ornaments and decorated the tree. Very nice!

"As the Days Grow Darker, The Reading Lamp Glows Brighter," September-October 2009 Rosemary Wells-inspired characters cuddle in their hollowed-out tree, appreciating the lamp's warm glow.

"The People on the Bus Say... Read, Read Read!" August-September 2009 A popular song from Toddler Time served as the inspiration for this character-filled London bus.

"Be Creative at Your Library," Summer 2009 The summer reading theme was "be creative," so children who finished their ten books wrote their names on a paint splot that added to an evolving work of art. By the end it looked like a Jackson Pollock!
